Pacific Northwest Plein Air 2008

Participate in the Pacific Northwest Plein Air 2008 Painting Competition!
The breathtaking vistas and scenic diversity of the Pacific Northwest's Columbia River Gorge region make it and ideal place to do "Plein Air Painting, painting done with an easel outdoors on location and in the moment.
The event begins on August 28 with a five day paint out competition in locations in and around the Columbia River Gorge, and is followed by a month long exhibition of the paintings, opening on Sept 5, 6pm - 8pm in the Columbia Art Gallery.
Artists who would like to participate in the competition may submit 8 images of current work, along with the entry form and entry fee. The competition is open to artists working in Oil, Acrylic, Pastel and Watercolor. Deadline for entry submissions is June 15, 2008.
Artists can participate in as many days as they are able, one or all five days, depending on their schedules. Artists can also submit to the show, plein air work they previousely painted, so long as the work was completed within the last two years.
Artists are asked to register as soon as possible, for the workshop as space is limited. Call the Art Center for information 541 387 8877.
