Gallery Operations
The Gallery is non-profit and supported by
memberships and numerous volunteers from the many
mid-Columbia communities.
Sales Of Artwork
1. Retail Gallery Sales
Artists' work is submitted to a jury committee
Displaying artists must be Gallery members
Retail manager selects works for display and rotates
selections regularly
The work of each artist is inventoried separately
2.Monthly Show Sales
A show selection committee determines the exhibition
schedule for the year. Artists are encouraged to
submit show suggestions to the committee.
There is a coordinator and/or curator(s) for each show
A community sponsor is sought for each show
Each show is advertised with announcement cards (to
Gallery members and to show artists’ submitted lists),
posters, a banner, and via newspapers and radio
There is an evening reception, usually the first
Friday of the month, to open the show. It features
food and beverages and sometimes musical
entertainment.
