Photography
Yoram Bernet

Bio info:
Yoram has been photographing since he was seven years old. Until recently, photography had been a hobby for Yoram, pursued with varying degrees of intensity over the years, but always taking a back seat to his career in high technology. Yoram has also pursued carpentry over the years, at times professionally. In 2001, Yoram retired from Microsoft, ending a twenty year career in development and research. During his career, Yoram developed his design skills and his writing skills. He authored numerous technical papers and published a book on Internet technology.

In 2003, Yoram and his wife, Maya, traveled around the world for thirteen months. During this time, Yoram rekindled his passion both for photography and for writing. He shot some ten thousand images in film and in digital and wrote frequently about his experiences overseas. Upon returning to his home in Seattle in the summer of 2004, Yoram decided to take his photography to the next level and to pursue it professionally.

At this time, Yoram divides his time between shooting new material for architectural and travel photography assignments, preparing for numerous shows of his current work and delving ever deeper into the technology of digital photography and printing. Yoram also continues to write.

Yoram's strength as a photographer derives from his sense of design and aesthetics, bolstered by his experience as an engineer and as a carpenter. Yoram's photography also benefits from his solid grasp of the technology and his delight and appreciation for the sensual.
